A century old manufacturing building in Franklin is being re-purposed to help in the shortage of personal protective equipment. The Clark-Cutler-McDermott building in the downtown used to make car upholstery and horse blankets, but went bankrupt in 2016. A man who used to work there, Norm Jankowski, called the town recently with an idea to use the dye cutting machine still inside the building to produce hospital gowns for area hospitals.
